Tzahi is a true leader on the court and a real play-maker. A natural point guard with great ball handling skills and quickness. As a son of a basketball coach he has great knowledge of the game and possesses very solid fundamental skills. Tzahi has amazing leadership qualities. He inspires his teammates to play harder and to elevate their level of intensity. Tzahi is a great athlete and a very solid basketball player, he can dribble left and right handed and he is an excellent 3 point shooter. His uncanny ability to find the open man, in transition play, while attacking the basket is phenomenal. On important plays he will always keep the ball and make good things happen. His best assets are that he plays with great intensity and a tremendous competitive spirit. Last year he had an outstanding 87% from the free throw line.
Defensively, Tzahi is an outstanding asset. His quickness allows him put pressure on the ball, to force turnovers and should be able to average 3 to 5 steals a game. He can be used for special defensive tasks such as Boxing-One or Combo-Defense. Tzahi is not afraid to put his body and to go through screens, take charges, and crash defensive boards.
General:
Tzahi has been around the game all his life. His dad, Zvika, is a professional basketball coach. Tzahi played for BC Hapoel Haifa junior teams and names a team captain. He also gained a lot of experience working out with Pro American players who played for his dad. Tzahi is a mature player who recently finished his mandatory military service and ready to make his debut in college basketball.
